Copper Protection Bracelet – शुद्ध तांबे का कड़ा

An adjustable open-cuff kada made from pure copper (तांबा), for anyone who wants a simple, traditional piece to wear every day. It suits men and women alike, sits lightly on the wrist, and pairs as easily with a kurta as with office wear.

Traditional Significance

In Vedic tradition copper is the metal of Surya (the Sun) and is also linked with Mangal (Mars). परंपरा में माना जाता है that wearing tamba on the body keeps a person's energy steady and shields them from नकारात्मक ऊर्जा. Copper vessels are used for pooja water, copper yantras sit in home temples, and a copper kada has been worn across India for generations — by householders, by sadhus, by grandparents who passed the habit down — as a mark of discipline and devotion rather than as decoration.

How to Wear

  • Traditionally worn on the right wrist. Many devotees begin on a Sunday (Ravivar), the day of Surya, or on Tuesday (Mangalvar), after bathing.
  • Open the cuff gently to slide it on, then press lightly to adjust the fit. Avoid bending it back and forth repeatedly.
  • Some families touch the kada to the feet of the deity in their home mandir before wearing it for the first time.

Care and Authenticity

  • Real copper darkens with time and skin contact. This patina is normal and is in fact a sign of genuine tamba. Rub with lemon and salt, or a soft cloth, to restore the shine.
  • Keep away from perfume, soap and water where possible, and store dry.
  • A faint green mark on the skin can appear with copper jewellery; it is harmless and washes off.
  • Thickness and dimensions may vary slightly from the photograph, as each piece is finished by hand.

An Honest Note

You may have heard that copper bracelets help with joint pain or other ailments. We do not make that claim. Wearing copper is a cultural and devotional practice, not a medical treatment; if you have a health concern, please consult a doctor. What this kada offers is a link to a tradition that families have followed for generations — a शुभ, everyday reminder of faith on the wrist.
